Dear friends and supporters of migrants rescued from distress at sea,
we are protection seekers who survived the journey across the Mediterranean Sea and came
directly from Italy to Germany through a relocation program.

The people from the German constitutional protection told us that we will get asylum. They told us
that we were selected to be brought to Germany and they organize the trip, then we will get the
residence permit and our own apartment.
we were made to believe that we were under a relocation program for italy, they lied to us; safe
habour city potsdam is not for refugees from certain part of the world; we have been here for
years, we have done the language [intergration] classes, we are working, etc yet we are still in a
situation without any perspective.
Now we live in a city called “safe haven”. But our application for asylum was rejected! Potsdam is
not a safe haven for us. German politics has taken away our right to a residence permit!
