Next Tuesday we cordially invite you to the International Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Wissenschaftetage at the Bildungsforum Potsdam. We will focus on the topic of Refugees Emancipation. It is about emancipation and being heard. We would like to focus our attention on refugees. The words asylum and migration are omnipresent: stories, causes and contexts rather not. Sonkeng Tegouffo, political scientist, will join us in conversation after an introductory podcast. Is Potsdam a safe haven for all?

A state of uncertainty is everyday life, whether people fled Ukraine as so-called „third country nationals“ or came across the Mediterranean … mostly they face deportation.

This evening, refugees will have their say and tell their stories. The evening is called Refugees Emancipation and the title is an organization with this name. A real refugee self-help organization that was founded by refugees 20 years ago.

We talk to them about what our civil society can do.
