At the #internationaltuesday on 25.10.22 Refugees Emancipation was the topic of the evening. We presented our organization in general and talked about its concrete activities and actions. Some of them are:
– helping third nationalites from Ukraine to apply in Germany regarding Article 24
– Potsdam is supposed to be a “Save Heaven City”, but in our daily work we see that the reality for refugees is very different from that. To really make Potsdam a save heaven there needs to be a lot more political pressure. We organized a demonstration and brought Seenotgerettete and political authorities together to talk.
– Refugees Emancipation has supported a lot of refugees to enter the bfd program (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) which helps them to be engaged and empowered.
– Refugees Emancipation is supporting refugees who announced the poor living conditions in the camps. We demonstrated about the situation in Großbeeren and then Autourity was forced to rebuild the camp. We have also challenged the administration in other action. Especially we draw attention on the situation of women with children who have a German passport and have been kept in camps for many years with no access to learning German. We made a strong action in Potsdam and Rathenow.
– We help a lot of refugees in terms of other issues, who come to our office for orientation in different situations. We offer language and computer classes for refugees without the right to stay. We also work with a lot of German partners and supporters in different arena’s meetings, seminars and workshops.
How can you support us?

– Financial support is always helpful (e.g. to pay honorars and materials)
